The Jason Foundation (JFI) is a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting “The Silent Epidemic” of youth suicide through educational programs for young people, educators, parents, and other community groups. JFI, headquartered in Hendersonville, Tennessee, was founded in 1997 after the tragic death of Jason Flatt, the 16-year-old son of Clark Flatt.

In 2014, Springstone officially joined JFI’s mission as a Jason Foundation National Community Affiliate, with its facilities becoming community resource centers. At 38 Springstone locations in 7 states, parents, teachers, guidance counselors, students, churches and other community organizations can get educational materials and learn about training programs available through JFI.

“We are excited about Springstone affiliating with The Jason Foundation as one of our National Community Affiliates,” said Clark Flatt, President of JFI.  “We have worked with several of the Springstone executive team members in past years and know their passion and dedication. In addition to this past experience, we have gotten to know the entire Springstone management team and have witnessed their enthusiasm for saving lives.”

Springstone is proud to affiliate with The Jason Foundation and is committed to collaborating with Clark Flatt and the team at JFI to help create solutions to the suicide epidemic, while working toward our own mission of changing people’s lives.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, suicide is the second leading cause of death for youth between the ages of 10 and 14.  It is also one of the leading causes of preventable death in our nation.
