October 1, 2020

Anthony Meek will oversee outpatient clinical care at Columbus Springs East and Columbus Springs Changes® in Pickerington, OH.

Columbus Springs, a leading provider of behavioral health services, is pleased to announce that Anthony Meek has joined the organization to lead outpatient care at its Columbus East campus (near the Columbus International Airport) as well as its outpatient clinic, Columbus Springs Changes in Pickerington, OH.

“We are delighted that Anthony will be overseeing the outpatient departments at these facilities, where we are dedicated to changing people’s lives by delivering quality, compassionate care in a safe environment,” said Jason Staats, CEO, Columbus Springs. “Every day we are seeing more adults, adolescents and children struggling with mental health and substance use issues. In fact, those with underlying mental health or substance use conditions could be more substantially influenced by the emotional responses brought on by this stressful, pandemic environment.”

For nearly 20 years, Mr. Meek has worked in the social services field in a variety of roles, beginning with working with children and adolescents in a psychiatric setting and then transitioning to management where he worked as a director of an adolescent mental health treatment program. He subsequently worked as a director for the Florida Department of Health. As a therapist, he has worked with clients struggling with a wide array of issues, specializing in addiction, men’s issues, LGBTQIA+, self-esteem, anger management, and anxiety disorders.

Mr. Meek is a licensed professional counselor and national certified counselor who earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology from Youngstown State University and his Master’s degree in Counseling from Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL.

“I feel privileged to work with others to help them through low points in their lives and to help them create strategies to make positive, long lasting changes,” said Mr. Meek. “I look forward to serving our local community as a behavioral health partner in his new role at Columbus Springs.
